The Seaside Hawaiian Hostel is tucked away in the heart of Waikiki, just off of Kuhio Avenue. We are a one minute walk from the International Marketplace, numerous ethnic restaurants and a five minute walk from world famous Waikiki Beach and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Ala Wai Canal, Waikiki's most popular fitness area, is just block away from our front door and offers jogging and walking trails. We offer free hikes, tours and/or drop-offs (Sea Kayaking to the 'Mok's', hike Manoa Falls, Tantalus & Olympus Peaks, Diamond & Koko Head, Makapu'u Point Lighthouse, Byodo-In Temple, Nu'uanu Pali Lookout, Bishop Museum, Honolulu Academy of Arts / Shangri La and other local tourist destinations). When you are ready to explore, a major bus-stop is just steps away ($2 gets you all around the island !). Though we are in the bustling center of Waikiki, we are set back off the street and so a good night's sleep is a reality. Not hemmed in by high rise buildings, pleasant Hawaiian trade winds reach your room, providing pleasant, natural air conditioning. Our large, enclosed Banyan courtyard, with its 80-year old native foliage and European-style Coffee Bar, provides a 'Green Oasis' of tranquility, where guests may mingle and enjoy board games, our paperback & DVD library and 500+ channel Stereo TV (watch your favorite sports / teams live here !).
Our two story hostel provides clean guestrooms, both private and dormitory-style. We have a full kitchen with well-stocked spice cabinet and refrigerators for guest use and offer a number of complimentary services such as free breakfast, coffee or tea, high speed internet access and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Discounted bicycle, scooter and motorcycle rental are available just next door with special rates for Seaside guests.
