Oahu, Hawaii
The island of Oahu is
also known as the "Heart of Hawaii." Here you will find beautiful temples and
ornate palaces, the final resting places of kings, and the haunting memorials
of war. Historical and cultural centers follow the heartbeat of Hawaii
throughout the ages and offer visitors a new perspective of an ancient land.
This island is home to a larger population than all the other islands combined,
most of that population being centered around Honolulu and Waikiki. With this
brings the opportunity for night life, plentiful adventure activities, and
ongoing cultural and local events throughout the year.
Some of Oahu's famous beautiful spots include Haunama Bay - the most popular
snorkeling spot in all of Hawaii, the famous North Shore - host to Sunset Beach
and Pipeline (one of the most famous surf breaks in the world), and Waikiki
Beach - a crowded sea of sunbathers and beginner surfers any day of the week.
