Conveniently located 20 min from Hilo Airport and 35 min from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, we are centrally located to all East Hawaii attractions and are ideally situated to be your base of operations during your visit. Whether your needs are temporary lodgings while you house hunt for your dream home, longer-term rentals for employment reasons, or a week's vacation in paradise, we can accommodate your needs.
For those of you house-hunting, the owners are recent transplants from the West Coast themselves and would be happy to share their experiences with you. Their enthusiasm for the Big Island is contagious.
Accommodations: Canoe House has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, with 2 queen-size beds and two twins. The living room has a futon that converts to a double. Free WIFI broadband high speed internet service is also available. Canoe House has recently been remodeled with new paint, whole-house UV water filter installed and laminate flooring installed throughout.
Activities: The Big Island is most famous for being home to Kilauea Volcano, the longest continually erupting volcano in the world. Visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where you can hike to an oozing lava flow or visit at night to view the surreal red glow from the molten lava. If you're in luck, watch seawater explode into steam and boiling water where lava enters the ocean and new land is created.
Area: Mango Bay Hawaii vacation rentals are located in Hawaiian Paradise Park (HPP), a growing bedroom community favored by both locals and transplants for its close proximity to Hilo. HPP is located in the Puna District of East Hawaii, approximately 15 miles southeast of Hilo. The subdivision fronts State Highway 130 between Kea'au and Pahoa.
